  • When are the fridges open?
    Each fridge is open and accessible 24/7. Feel free to come by any time, day or night, when you feel comfortable.
  • How can I donate food, clothes, or other items?
    Label all food with a brief description and the date. Bring the minimal amount of packaging to the fridge to avoid litter. Organize the fridge, freezer, or shelves when you drop off your items (it's much appreciated!).
  • How can I donate money? Where does it go?
    Venmo @detroitcommunityfridge. Any amount helps! On any given day, your donation might go to buying food to cook meals, restocking our cleaning kits, or materials for a shelter at a new fridge location. Know that your donation makes a direct impact and is appreciated.
  • How else can I help?
    The fridges and the surrounding area require cleaning frequently. Grab some gloves, rags, cleaning solution, and trash bags and head to the closest fridge. All people deserve clean, fresh food with dignity; an hour of cleaning makes a world of difference.
